Responsibilities
Provide technical support to achieve engineering and quality excellence.
Review engine workscope for FMP overhaul engines and provide applicable work instructions to the shop to ensure compliance with engineering data during the engine shop visit
Support engine failure investigation and coordinate with engine OEM, airline customers and aviation authorities for engine condition documentation and reporting.
Analyze out-of-manual conditions and provide engineering solutions in relation to engine part repair and overhaul processes.
Perform review of Modification Service Bulletin (SB) and provide timely information to the shop when applicable.
Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution.
Communicate with customers on out-of-manual repair approval.
Propose and implement creative engineering solution to improve quality, reduce engine turn time and shop visit cost.
Liaise with the OEM and subcontractors on engine investigation and repair processes.
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to bring change to the department and company.
Assist the Engineering Management in special projects.
Requirements
Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in aerospace MRO setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Able to interpret technical data, drawings and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM and CIR).
Good working knowledge in MS Office applications (Words, Excel, Projects, and Power Point).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge in SAP, Solumina is preferred but not mandatory.
Versatile worker who is able to work well in a team setting and independently.
Ability to think and process information in the macro and micro level.
Highly motivated and innovative individual who is meticulous.
