Emirates: On November 27, 2024, Emirates celebrated the arrival of its first Airbus A350-900 at the Emirates Engineering hub in Dubai. Registration A6-EXA. The event was graced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who took an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art aircraft.
He was joined by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, who highlighted Sheikh Mohammed’s visionary leadership as a driving force behind Emirates’ remarkable success.
The Emirates A350: A Brief Overview
Emirates placed an order for 65 Airbus A350-900 aircraft during the 2019 Dubai Airshow, signaling a strategic move to diversify its long-haul fleet. This order underscores the airline’s commitment to meeting evolving market demands and offering a more fuel-efficient option for mid-to-long-haul routes.
The first Emirates A350 has arrived on 27- NOV- 2024 , These planes are powered by the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, known for their efficiency and low emissions.
In addition to its newly delivered A350, Emirates operates two other aircraft types across its global network of 140 destinations: the widebody Boeing 777 and the iconic Airbus A380 ‘double-decker.’
“Interior and Cabin Configuration”

The Emirates A350 will accommodate approximately 300 to 350 passengers, depending on the route and configuration.

- Economy Class: The majority of seats will be in a 3-3-3 layout, offering spacious seating compared to competitors’ denser configurations.

Why the A350?
The Airbus A350 offers 25% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to older aircraft in the Emirates fleet. This aligns with the airline’s sustainability goals while providing a quieter and smoother ride for passengers.
The Routes
Emirates is set to operate its first scheduled commercial flight with the A350 to Edinburgh on January 3, 2025. Following this launch, passengers will be able to experience the A350 on routes within the GCC, including Bahrain, Muscat, and Kuwait, as well as European cities, and Asian cities like Mumbai Delhi And Ahmedabad.
