Synopsis
An amazing opportunity has arisen with our Technical Function.
In this role, you are accountable to develop a comprehensive, fit for purpose data strategy for the Technical department by working closely with Post Holders and the Technical Leadership Team and other key stakeholders across Operations and the airline. The incumbent will lead the execution of the data strategy and work cross-functionally across Technical, Flight Operations, Network Operations and other areas of the airline to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive data-driven decision making in an integrated fashion.
This is a business-focussed role on delivering data solutions to identify and exploit opportunities that delivers safety performance, productivity improvements, operational efficiencies, financial performance ($1billion in scope) in a growing airline. The incumbent will work closely with DTI to ensure alignment and collaborate to create the best outcome for Etihad.
Accountabilities
Design and implement a fit for purpose data strategy for the Technical department with scope including but not limited to +150 key AMOS processes, +1000 AMOS data tables
Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and identify optimization opportunities across Technical
Ensure appropriate data and reporting infrastructure is in place by working with various stakeholders within Technical and various internal and external stakeholders
Design the Technical data analytics governance framework, data models, reporting structures/systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics
Responsible for the design and delivery of reports and insights focusing on safety performance, operational efficiencies, and financial performance
Manage effective relationships across Etihad Airways especially DTI, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders as required
Implement innovative tools and focus on leveraging industry tools such as Skywise, OEM predictive maintenance tools, fuel management tools for Technical, Aviatar etc.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing data analytics functions preferably within aviation or related field
Demonstrated ability to design data strategies, implement frameworks and communicate outcomes to senior leadership and executives
Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills along with strong communication skills
Able to simultaneously work on multiple activities/projects and prioritise activities effectively
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business, Computer Science/Engineering/IT or related fields
Strong background in, programming, SQL, data-mining & modelling, predictive analytics, and visualisation tools (PowerBI. Tableu): working knowledge of AI/ML
