The Structures and Interiors Engineer is responsible for engineering activity related to aircraft structures, interiors, and related components on the Airbus and Embraer aircraft. The Engineer will support Line and Heavy maintenance with modification of Airbus and Embraer aircraft. The Engineer is responsible for project management, providing engineering dispositions, and other initiatives on the team. They need to have excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills and a solid understanding of best practices to assist in building the right processes, as well as managing the day-to-day responsibilities and functions of the engineering team.
Here’s what you’ll do
Review and take action in response to Airworthiness Directives (AD) to ensure compliance with FAA, ANAC, and other regulatory agency requirements and guidance
Review Service Bulletins, Service Letters, modifications, and other engineering technical documents for applicability, systems reliability, and economical benefits
Develop technical data required for modifications, repairs, and troubleshooting of aircraft structures, interiors, and related components
Obtain regulatory approval for modifications and repairs performed on aircraft structures and interiors and components
Develop customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance actions which are not addressed in existing manuals
Prepare engineering documents such as Engineering Orders (EO) to provide technical dispositions for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions on aircraft systems and components, which provide benefits in accordance with Breeze objectives
Establish build specifications for aircraft structures, interiors, and components
Provide on-site technical support at MRO locations during modification and outstations for AOG situations to return aircraft back into service
Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
Here’s what you need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related Engineering field
10+ years of engineering experience relating to Aircraft Structure and Interiors modification
10+ years of experienced required in technical report writing skills to prepare test plans, test results, structural analysis substantiations, and regulatory compliance reports
10+ years of experience under Part 121, 135, and/or 91 as it pertains to Embraer and airbus Aircraft structures and interiors
Knowledge of Embraer and Airbus aircraft structures, interiors, and systems
Preferred Qualifications
Trax (M&E) control system
AutoCAD drawing systems
Skills/Abilities
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate to Leadership
Must be able to handle high-stress situations
Able to manage and coordinate several tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization
